nan and lance, engaged.

Nan and Lance came to me after seeing Lindsey and Joel's engagement session posted here on the blog.  I've known both of them for a long time as Lance is the brother of one of my closest friends.  I even photographed Nan's senior pictures...back in the day!  So, when Nan first contacted me about their engagement session, she wanted to be sure that we could shoot on location at both of their families' farms.  ABSOLUTELY!   I love it when couples suggest places that have meaning to them.

Nan was so nervous when I showed up for the shoot!  She is the cutest girl, I have no idea why she was worried!  She said she just wanted them to be perfect!  And Lance just kept saying he was hungry :)  I think Lance felt comfortable enough with me (since his sis is my bff, remember...did I just say bff...) that he could just be himself and whine about his empty stomach!!  They both did such a great job...and Lance's reward was a big juicy hamburger as soon as the shoot ended.

Poor Nan has been patiently waiting for me to post her pictures.  She's normally not the patient kind, like myself :)  She left me a message the day after her session saying she wanted to see them NOW!!  So, Nan, here is your sneak peak before you stop by tonight and see them all...

We started the shoot at Lance's family farm.          When you marry a farm boy...half of your life is spent riding with him through the fields...right girls?! We headed into Decatur for a change of scenery... Below:  This was my favorite shot of the day...I LOVE Nan's smile :)       Nan and I agreed that the shot below is somehow so "Lance..."   And finally back at Nan's house to finish the shoot.

So, Nan, I hope you love your pictures...and that I was able to deliver the perfection you were hoping for.  The only shot I wish I had gotten was the one of Lance with his plate of food while the rest of us were still chatting in the drive!

I had so much fun with you guys and can't wait for your December wedding!
